TROUBLE IN PET-PARADISE: ALMOST TWO IN FIVE PET OWNERS EXPERIENCE PUPPY BLUES
To support stressed out dog owners, ManyPets has appointed Dr Scott Miller as the UK’s first Doggy Doula - to help new dog owners navigate the early stages of dog ownership
New research from pet insurance provider, ManyPets, reveals almost two in five dog owners (37%) suffered from ‘puppy blues’ during the first few weeks of pet ownership
Almost half (47%) said their life changed more than they had expected, with 46% admitting they considered giving up or rehoming their puppy due to the stress
71% of dog owners compare bringing home a new puppy to bringing home a new-born from the hospital, with 25% thinking a child would be easier to manage
Almost all dog owners (91%) who experienced ‘puppy blues’ said they would have benefited from receiving advice from an expert to navigate these feelings
