THE LEGO GROUP UK& IRELAND AND NATIONAL TRUST LAUNCH HUNT FOR UK’S ULTIMATE YOUNG EXPLORERTHIS SUMMER· To mark the startof National Trust’s Play Week (3rd – 10th August) andNational Play Day (5th of August), the two brands have teamed up toencourage kids to get creative with their outdoor play· Parents orguardians of children aged 12 and under, can submit their kid’s snaps andstories of LEGO bricks in adventurous nature scenes on Facebook using#LEGOYoungExplorer until 9th September, to be in with a chance ofwinning· Earning theofficial title of The LEGO Young Explorer of the Year, the winning submissionwill be decided by a panel of expert judges including celebrity farmer andnature fan JB Gill (from JLS), LEGO Play Agent DavidPallash, National Trust Play Specialist AnitaStevens and a young ambassador from the National Trust’s Museum ofChildhood in Derbyshire· As more familiesthan ever plan on staying at home this summer – The LEGO Group UK and Irelandand National Trust are encouraging families to re-think the traditionalstay-cation and enjoy a play-cation instead,
The Young Ultimate ExplorerCompetition – How to Take Part1) Grab a camera, some LEGO bricks and Minifiguresand fire up your imagination2) Create the ultimate nature scene usingMinifigures and LEGO bricks. Whether the scene is created on a windowsill, inthe garden, a local park or a National Trust place, no location is too smallfor a LEGO adventure3) Aska parent or guardian to submit your picture on the Young Explorer post on TheLEGO Group UK and Ireland’s Facebook page, making sure to tag @nationaltrustand use #LEGOYoungExplorer 4) Make sure they include your imaginative storyalongside the post of your image telling us what you’ve built and what youimagine is happening in your scene – the more creative the better!5) Entries will close on 9th September
